Veritas Volume Manager SPI for HP Software

Expand the functionality of HP Operations Manager to include monitoring of your Veritas Volume Manager environment. The entire RAID environment will be automatically discovered and examined in great depth and automatically notifying the appropriate personnel if any aspect is not operating optimally.
The solution contains:
- An overall summary view of the entire VVM environment
- Daemon Monitor - checking every Daemon for performance, CPU consumption and memory consumption
- Disk Group Monitor - checking available space and health status of disk groups
- Disk Device Monitor - checking performance and health status of the physical devices in use
- Volume Monitor - checking mount state, performance and kernel status of volumes
- Plex Monitor - checking plex state and performance data
- Subdisk Monitor - checking subdisk state and performance data
- Log Monitor - checking for important messages, counts the number of messages, monitors size and growth rate of logs
The Veritas Volume Manager SPI was specifically written to be an expert system and do the detailed checking an experienced Veritas Administrator would do if they had the time and dedication. The SPI does that work for them and administrators are now able to deliver ever greater value to an organisation.
