The Veritas File System Smart Plug-In contains:
- An overall summary view of the VFS environment
- File Systems Monitor - checks mount status of file system, Inode usage, rate of consumption and space available in file systems
- Fragmentation Monitors - checks level of directory and extent fragmentation in file systems, writing to the message browser when attention is needed
- I/O Performance Monitors - checks performance statistics and monitors type and number of errors occurring
- Quotas Monitors - collects number of blocks and files on soft and hard limits. Monitors quota usage at individual and group levels
- Logs Monitor - counts the number of important messages and monitors remaining disk space
